Dope and Different, 2019
Dope and Different is an interactive portrait series that combines vibrant color, sound collage, and augmented reality to celebrates Black and Brown activists, artists, organizers, and healers, who have transformed experiences of marginalization into liberated ways of being in the world.
A collaborative project by artists Jessica Valoris and SurMoniKO Love, Dope and Different has been featured at Culture Coffee Too in Washington DC, New Community ArtSpace, Afrotectopia NYC, The Black in Design Conference at Harvard University, and is currently on display at Zinnia Restaurant in Silver Spring, MD.
