How We Be Free: a Black fugitive study kit is an an offering that honors the practices of freedom-seeking Black ancestors and their legacies of liberatory practice. The kit consists of a set of customized playing cards, dice, and an informational booklet with quotes and prompts for continued reflection. The How We Be Free Study Kit centers themes of land, spirit, study and care as the building blocks of free Black communities. The cards, dice, and booklet can support play, personal reflection, collective study, radical strategizing, cultural organizing, sacred rituals, story circles and more!
